So a couple of weeks ago, before half term, we had to attend Finns parents evening.
After I sat there in silence listening to his class teacher telling me how he categorically isn’t learning I challenged her. “Why isn’t he learning” is asked. “Do you think he needs a specialist setting?”. She wouldn’t answer me.

Before starting school we had explained about Finn learning in blocks and not in a linear ascent which is outlined in her government issued development guidelines.
After Reminding her of that we left. She told us we would just have to see how he goes!
So now, weeks later, the child who couldn’t even identify letters in the alphabet can now write his name!

I don’t know about you but I think that’s pretty awesome!!
